Music has always been a part of Bruce's life. With sing-alongs around the family piano, cornet in his high school concert band and guitar playing with various folk bands, he had the bug since even before the British Invasion. But with the cultural explosion of the 60's psychedelic era, Bruce was permanently hooked. At the suggestion of his country guitar-playing uncle, he picked up the bass and soon joined his first rock band.
After high school he toured for three years, along with a couple of his high-school band mates, with the Detroit-based Doug Guyet Review and shared stages with music legends Wayne Cochran and the CC Riders, and Dotty West.
Following this Bruce moved to San Francisco and, while attending the College of Recording Arts, played and recorded with a variety of acts including cabaret singers and indie songwriters. These days finds Bruce exploring jazz with the ShufTones.
